Critical Incident Response

Course Overview

This one-day interactive seminar has been developed by law enforcement, fire, and emergency management professionals to equip personnel with best practices for managing critical incidents, with particular emphasis on mass violence scenarios. The program is designed to help initial responders and supervisors understand the unique challenges presented by these situations and develop the strategic mindset necessary to effectively manage them.

Course Purpose

While agencies invest significant resources in training personnel on defensive tactics, firearms, use of force, and administrative functions, this course addresses a critical gap: preparedness for large-scale emergencies. As critical incidents—including natural disasters and mass violence events—become increasingly common across the nation, organizations must ensure their frontline staff possess the knowledge and skills to respond effectively and maintain command and control during these challenging situations.
