Lock Picking and Specialized Entry Techniques
Course Overview
This flagship hands-on intensive program provides comprehensive instruction in covert entry methods, with a primary focus on lock picking and lock bypassing techniques. Designed for law enforcement and military personnel, the course has successfully trained over 2,000 professionals and emphasizes practical skills that can be deployed in real-world situations immediately upon graduation.
Target Audience
This course is restricted to sworn law enforcement officers and active duty military personnel. It benefits patrol officers, tactical operators, investigators, probation officers, conservation officers, and government and military personnel at all levels.
Skills and Techniques Covered
Participants will develop proficiency with a wide variety of locking mechanisms including deadbolts, knob locks, padlocks, aircraft locks, electronic access locks, automotive locks, pushbutton mechanical locks, digital and mechanical safes, hotel room doors, and magnetic hardware systems. The curriculum also covers advanced bypass techniques, with certain methods allowing entry in less than seven seconds. Additional instruction covers defeating evolving lock designs, electronic doorknob locks such as the YL-99 model, and the use of jiggler picks for specialized applications.
Training Methodology
The course employs saturation-based lock picking training, ensuring that participants spend nearly the entire class duration with locks and lock picks in their hands. This intensive approach results in graduates being able to employ their newly acquired skills in the field on the same day of graduation.
Real-World Applications
Techniques taught in this program have directly contributed to saved lives through welfare checks, successful apprehensions via arrest warrants, and effective execution of search warrants throughout North America. Graduates regularly utilize these skills for welfare checks, suicide interventions, search warrant execution, and locked-out assistance situations.
