HIRING NOTICE - Springfield Township Police Department
POLICE OFFICER
The Springfield Township Police Department (Burlington County) is currently accepting resumes for the position of POLICE OFFICER. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated, well-organized, self-directed professional who embraces new challenges, collaborates well with team members, accepts responsibility, and exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills. Applicants must possess a current Police Training Commission (PTC) certificate, a SLEO II certificate, be currently enrolled in a police academy Alternate Route Program, or a SLEO II academy pending graduation. Salary is negotiable, commensurate with years of experience.
The Springfield Township Police Department is comprised of twelve (10) officers who are community-oriented and who take pride in their proactive response to crime and quality of life issues.
Applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Police training certification or other listed above
- Be a citizen of the United States and a resident of the State of New Jersey prior to appointment
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must possess good moral character and a strong work ethic
- Must be in good mental and physical health
- Must pass a background check and be free from conviction of any crime
- Must be able to work 12 Hour shifts, Day and Night
SALARY:
- PTC Certified- $54,951 step one contract, $59,178 after holiday pay
- SLEO II- $17.50 - $25.00hr
