Enfield Police Department
Now Accepting Applications for Police Sergeant
$20,000 sign on bonus for NH certified officers.
Town of Enfield population is approximately 4,500. Consists of 7 full time officer and 4 part-time officers. Typical call volume for the department each year is 6000.
Community oriented police department that supports officers with specialized training, personally assigned vehicles, opportunities for specialized assignments in K9, drone operator, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a certified police officer.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to pass a stringent background investigation
Job Description/General Duties:
- Supervise and direct patrol officers during assigned shifts.
- Respond to emergency calls and critical incidents.
- Conduct and oversee criminal investigations.
- Prepare, review, and approve reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for assigned personnel.
- Enforce state laws and local ordinances.
- Foster positive relationships with community members through community-oriented policing.
- Ensure compliance with department policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
- Promote professionalism, accountability, and ethical policing practices.

Testing Requirements:
Must pass cooper standards physical test at the required academy level of 35th percentile.
Hiring Process:
Must pass background investigation to include criminal history and personal history inquiry, polygraph, medical exam, and psychological exam, staff interviews.
