Overview

As cryptocurrency has become an increasingly prevalent instrument in criminal activities—ranging from romance scams and phishing schemes to sophisticated pig butchering fraud and money laundering operations—professionals need specialized knowledge to respond effectively. Participants will develop foundational understanding of blockchain technology, learn why criminals exploit cryptocurrency, and master techniques for tracing transactions through blockchain analytics platforms.

The course combines practical, real-world examples with interactive learning experiences, including case study analysis, live demonstrations, and collaborative problem-solving exercises. Attendees will acquire skills in identifying warning signs, following the flow of illicit funds, and constructing solid investigative strategies suitable for courtroom presentation. • Execute practical investigative methods to pursue financial transactions from victim to perpetrator, incorporating authentic examples and documented cases.
• Create actionable victim support protocols encompassing accurate record-keeping, proof preservation, and coordination with cryptocurrency trading platforms.
• Deploy blockchain examination software and official documentation procedures (including subpoena mechanisms) to facilitate investigations and support judicial proceedings.
