Course Description

This comprehensive five-day training program prepares law enforcement investigators to execute professional and effective homicide and death investigations that meet prosecutorial standards. Attendees will develop the competencies needed to identify, document, and investigate various causes of death, enabling successful case resolution from initial assessment through prosecution.

The program opens with a dynamic case study component in which participants examine physical evidence, share findings from their observations, and make critical determinations regarding how deaths should be classified—whether as accidental, self-inflicted, or criminal in nature.
