Street Medicine Instructor (TECC) Course
Become certified as a Tactical Emergency Casualty Care instructor and bring evidence-based lifesaving training to your own organization. This hybrid program combines self-paced online learning with an intensive two-day in-person course, requiring no prior medical background.
Course Overview
In critical situations involving active violence or severe injuries, the first responders on scene are rarely paramedics—they're law enforcement officers, educators, security professionals, firearms instructors, and other trained personnel. This course equips you to be the person who trains others in tactical casualty care, enabling your agency to save lives when it matters most.
Format & Structure
The course follows a hybrid model designed to maximize hands-on learning. You'll complete the academic foundation online at your own pace before attending class, allowing the two in-person days to focus entirely on practical skills development, instructor techniques, and classroom presentation strategies. There are no prerequisites—no medical certification is required.

The curriculum covers Tactical Emergency Casualty Care aligned with nationally recognized C-TECC Guidelines, including:
- Massive hemorrhage control and tourniquet application
- Junctional hemorrhage management and wound packing
- Airway management and chest trauma response
- Casualty movement and medical emergencies in high-threat environments
- Adult learning principles and instructor development
- Classroom presentation techniques and practical skills instruction
- Scenario-based training and realistic incident management

Cost & Credential
Tuition is $750 and covers all online coursework on the Trilogy EMS platform, the two-day instructor certification course, all manuals and program materials, training equipment and supplies, and your course completion certificate. Group discounts are available for agencies enrolling multiple personnel.
