This intermediate-level, two-day certification course provides digital forensic professionals with comprehensive training in mobile device extraction and decryption techniques using the Inseyets platform. Participants engage in 14 total instructional hours that combine in-person, virtual, and self-paced learning options.

Course Content

The curriculum covers essential mobile forensics skills including device unlocking, decryption, and data extraction methodologies. Trainees learn to make informed pre-extraction decisions to optimize data recovery while maintaining evidence integrity. The course addresses logical, file system, and physical extraction approaches, with specialized focus on devices in Before First Unlock (BFU) and After First Unlock (AFU) states. Participants also develop advanced strategies for handling locked Android and iOS devices, evaluate SIM and SD card data, assess specialized extraction methods, and master the creation of UFDR reports suitable for investigative and courtroom applications.

This certification is designed for digital forensic examiners possessing foundational mobile experience, investigators seeking to enhance their hands-on extraction capabilities, and teams working toward advanced mobile forensic certifications.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, participants will understand UFED technology support systems, identify and evaluate mobile and cellular data artifacts, apply encryption models to extraction decisions, utilize Inseyets features to improve workflow efficiency, select appropriate extraction methods based on case requirements, manage devices in various operational states including urgent scenarios, assess data value from SIM and SD cards, and produce clear, defensible forensic documentation.

Certification Requirements

Earning the Cellebrite Certified Operator for Inseyets credential requires passing a knowledge assessment and completing a practical skills evaluation, with a minimum score of 80%. Certification remains valid for two years and requires ongoing recertification through the CCO Recertification course, a self-paced four-hour program including knowledge and skills assessments.

Note: The Cellebrite Certified Operator and Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst certifications can be pursued individually in limited circumstances; however, the bundled pathway is strongly recommended.
