LPVO Instructor Training

This four-day intensive program is designed to develop law enforcement instructors who can effectively teach, implement, and sustain a designated marksman capability within their organization. The course goes beyond teaching marksmanship fundamentals and emphasizes instructor development, focusing on how to coach shooters, structure scalable training programs, and integrate LPVO-equipped carbines into real-world patrol operations.

Students will master LPVO engagement techniques at distances ranging from 5 to 300 yards, including performance in low-light conditions. Throughout the training, participants assume both shooter and instructor roles to reinforce learning and ensure practical application of instructional techniques. The curriculum emphasizes developing defensible training programs, maintaining equipment standards, and aligning instruction with operational realities.

Audience: Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors, Designated Marksmen, and Experienced Patrol Officers

Required Equipment

• Rifle equipped with LPVO featuring adjustable turrets with 2 MOA or better accuracy
• Bipod and shooter's mat
• Minimum 200 duty rounds and 800 practice rounds
• Sight adjustment tool for optic
• Rear bag, backpack, or stabilization device
• Hat, eye protection, and hearing protection
• Duty gear including belt, handgun, and vest or outer carry system
• Laptop for homework assignments
• Weather-appropriate clothing for range training
