Course Overview
This intensive four-day program provides participants with comprehensive instruction in analyzing cellular data relevant to criminal investigations. The course incorporates more than twenty-five hands-on exercises designed to strengthen participants' proficiency in working with cellular records and related investigative materials.
Course Content
Day 1: Participants will be introduced to a variety of law enforcement resources available for investigative purposes. The day covers cellular technology fundamentals, industry terminology, and historical developments in the field. Students will also receive an overview of the CellHawk software platform and its applications for analyzing call detail records and other data sources collected during investigations.
Day 2: Participants will work with authentic call detail records (CDRs) obtained from major wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and US Cellular. The instruction focuses on proper interpretation techniques and extraction of critical information contained within these records.
This course is offered through DEFI Training and will be held at the Raytown, Missouri location.
