This comprehensive two-day training program is tailored for law enforcement officers seeking to develop advanced competencies in responding to and investigating drug-related overdose fatalities. With overdose deaths representing an escalating public health crisis across numerous communities, proficiency in investigating these incidents is vital for supporting successful prosecutions and helping address the opioid epidemic.
The course provides an in-depth examination of the complete investigation process, beginning with initial field response through final prosecution preparation. Participants will engage in classroom instruction combined with practical exercises to build expertise in handling these complex cases. An experienced investigator with substantial background in overdose investigations will share professional insights and proven methodologies.
