Park’s population includes: 58.7% Asian, 22.2% Hispanic, 16.4% White, and 7.0% other

The Palisades Park Police Department (PPPD) was founded in 1920. The mission of the PPPD is to
promote partnership between the community, businesses, government, media, and law enforcement
to reduce crime and improve the quality of life of all those within Palisades Park.

Several major roadways serve the Borough, including: Broad Ave, U.S. Route 1/9, U.S. Route 46,
NJ Route 5, NJ Route 63, NJ Route 93, and Bergen County Route 501. Borough transportation
channels connect vehicular traffic with the George Washington Bridge and access to Manhattan
through neighboring Fort Lee. These popular traffic corridors see much of the vehicular traffic
going through Palisades Park.
