Northlake Police Department

The Northlake Police Department has 19 sworn officers and 2 civilian personnel. We are in one of the fastest growing areas in Texas. Our current service population is 12,000, with an expected population of 30,000 by 2027. Located between Ft. Worth and Denton along the IH35W corridor, we are experiencing tremendous growth. Our department focuses on our community through our different divisions; Patrol, Traffic, and Criminal Investigations. We have some of the best equipment and provide all necessary uniforms and equipment.


The Department follows a community/problem oriented policing model and instills their core values of Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence in each community contact. The Northlake Police Department strives to create a quality environment by partnering with and serving our community through efficient and effective police services for those who live, work, visit or pass through our community.

The core values of the Northlake Police Department are:

Serving approximately 12,000 residents in Northlake and contracted areas. Northlake is located in southwest Denton County, bordering Ft. Worth, Denton, Flower Mound, Roanoke, Justin and Argyle. The geographic size is currently 17 square miles with an additional 15 square miles of ETJ, bringing the total policing area to 32 square miles. Northlake is a prime location for new business and residential developments. The town has I-35 and four other major highways within its jurisdiction. The Department serves a highly diverse population and is tasked with handling community issues as well as urban concerns due to its heavy traffic flow in the area; 76,000+vehicles daily.
