The Middletown Police Department covers 42 square miles and a population of approximately 47,000 people. The Police Department consists of 114 sworn officers and 25 civilian full time and part time personnel.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Middletown Police Department to proudly serve in partnership with the community through a commitment to excellence, professionalism and integrity.

Divisions

Administration: Captain John Lozefski is the Administrative Division Commander.

Community Services Division: Officers participate in fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics.

Investigative Services:  The Investigative Services Division consists of the department’s Major Investigations Unit, the Special Investigations Unit and the Street Crime/Narcotics Unit.

Patrol: The heart, soul, and largest division within the Middletown Police Department is the Patrol Division.

Professional Standards: The Professional Standards Division is responsible for Internal Affairs investigations, employee backgrounds, etc.

Records Division: The Middletown Police Records Bureau is the main contact for individuals and other agencies requesting information regarding Middletown Police Department activity.
