About the Little Silver Police Department

The Little Silver Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency whose sworn and civilian employees are committed to excellence while providing the highest quality police services. The Department is staffed with sixteen (16) sworn law-enforcement officers and a compliment of civilian personnel serving a population of approximately 6,200 residents in its 2.8 square mile community along the banks of the Shrewsbury River.

The Little Silver Police Department prides itself on being a proactive municipal law enforcement agency. Over half of all activity conducted by our patrol officers is self-initiated, preventative patrol activities.

The mission of the Little Silver Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in the Borough of Little Silver by working cooperatively with the public and within the framework of the United States Constitution to enforce the laws, preserve the peace and provide for a safe environment and the utmost in service while respecting the rights and dignity of all persons.
