South Toms River is a 16-Member Department, comprised of 15 Full-Time Officers, 1 Full-Time SLEO III, and 1 Civilian Employee. Community policing centered Department that is very active in the South Toms River Elementary School and other local community events.
Population approximately 3,750. Typical CAD entries between 37,500-40,000 per year over the last 3 years.
Minimum Requirements:
- Waivable SLEO 2 Certification
Job Description/General Duties:
Entry Level Police Officer responsible for enforcing Title 39, 2C and Local Ordinance violations.
