The Newton, NH Police Dept. is actively seeking full-time police officers. Full-time certified officers are encouraged to apply. The Newton Police Department is made up of eight Full-Time Police Officers. The Town of Newton is a small rural community of approximately 5,000 residents. The Newton Police Department values its mission and makes strides to actively improve the quality of life for every resident by reducing crime, as well as the fear of crime, empowering the citizens and achieving integral working relationships with our community. The Newton Police Department takes pride in developing its officers with continued training after their academy graduation. The department seeks candidates who value and understand the meaning of community respect, trust, and confidence.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs generalized law enforcement duties, usually in uniform. Includes patrolling an assigned area or sector on foot or in a cruiser, answering calls for service, investigating traffic accidents and criminal offenses,
Schedule:
- Rotating 8hr. schedule
- Midnight-afternoon shift
- Afternoon shift-Dayshift
