HIRING POLICE OFFICERS
Must be NJ PTC certified, or actively enrolled in a Basic Training Course approved by the NJPTC.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must be between 21 and 35 years of age,
- Meet the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-122 and N.J.S.A. 40A:14-27,
- Must be NJ PTC certified, having completed the basic course for police officers or actively enrolled in a Basic Training Course approved by the NJPTC.
- Applicants must also:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an institution accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools, or
- Possess an Associate’s Degree from an institution accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and have received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Military, or
- Possess 65 credits at such accredited school and have received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Military.
The Morris Plains Police Department will be hiring up to 2 candidates from this hiring process.
