The Chesterfield New Hampshire Police Department is currently accepting applications from certified police officers looking for a new opportunity, as well as aspiring candidates with a strong interest in exploring a career in law enforcement.

• Sign on Bonus of $15,000 for Certified Officers and $7,500 Uncertified
• Salary Range:  $61,776 - $79,580

Eligibility:

• Minimum age: 21 years of age 
• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license

Hiring Process:

• Physical Agility Test (1.5-mile run, push-ups, sit-ups)
• Oral Interview
• Polygraph Test
• Background Investigation
• Psychological Examination
• Physical Examination
• Meet all qualifying standards as set forth by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council
• Successful applicants must serve a probationary period of one year

Our department proudly serves the communities of Chesterfield, West Chesterfield, and Spofford.  We provide services to approximately 3,700 residents across 48 square miles, encompassing more than 100 miles of roadway.  In addition to serving our year-round residents, we respond to the seasonal influx of visitors who come to enjoy Spofford Lake, one of the region’s favorite recreational destinations, as well as travelers along the busy Route 9 corridor.  Our commitment is to deliver professional, responsive, and community-focused service to all who live, work, and visit the Chesterfield area.
