Civilian Position
Job Qualifications & Responsibilities for title of: Civilian/Citizen Advocate
Salary: Up to $40,000
Benefits: Full
Must have minimum of High School diploma
Pass all hiring requirements which will include a polygraph examination
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Will work as the Department's Quartermaster, making sure that uniforms and equipment are up to date and accounted for
Will be in charge of all departmental forms and ensuring that they are up to date and accounted for
Will work with city IT to make sure the Department's Webpage and social media accounts are kept current
Must be able to attend Community Policing meeting, trainings and events which may take place after normal business hours.
Will also be required to attend and sometimes run meetings with community members/leaders
Will be required to withhold confidential information for the public
Assist Administrative staff and executive assistant with warrant entry and court documents
Work with the Criminal Investigations Division to provide and coordinate resources for victims of crimes
Work directly with the Police Athletic League to coordinate participation from the police department and volunteers
Work directly with the Boys and Girls Club to coordinate participation from the police department and volunteers
