DEPUTY SHERIFF - MPCTC Maryland Certified

Starting Salary:   Full-Time: $63,128 - $69,451 annually

Part-time:  $30.35 - $33.39 hourly

We Offer:

  • Promotion to Deputy First Class after three (3) years of full-time satisfactory service
  • $700 annual clothing/uniform allowance, $150 annual shoe allowance
  • Paid Vacation: 80 hours a year, accrual begins upon employment (full-time employees)
  • Paid Sick Leave: 4.62 hrs per pay period / 120 hours annually, no maximum accrual
  • Paid Personal Leave: 48 hours annually (full-time employees)
  • Paid Holidays: 13-15 days per year
  • Paid Bereavement Leave: Up to 3 days per qualifying occurrence

Minimum Qualifications Include:

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED Equivalency
  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Must have successfully completed Entrance Level Academy as set forth by the Maryland Police Corrections Training Commission
