Connecticut Certified Police Officer

The Simsbury Police Department is accepting on line applications for the position of Certified Police Officer. The salary range is $70,341.34 - $102,934.62 with a generous benefit plan, to include:

Minimum eligibility requirements at time of hire are: U.S. citizen, 21 years of age or older, valid motor vehicle operator's license; no criminal convictions for any felony or class A or B misdemeanors or domestic violence, and high school graduate or GED and current Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Council certification. At the time of application, you must possess a Connecticut POSTC police certification in good standing or be eligible for recertification upon employment with a police department.
Testing will include an oral exam, extensive background investigation, psychological exam, polygraph exam, a medical exam and a controlled substance screen and a written examination.
