GENERAL INFORMATION
Since 1968, the Pocono Township Police Department has grown from a single patrolman to a full-strength team of twenty (20) dedicated officers who take pride in serving their community.
Our leadership team sets the tone — a Chief of Police, Patrol Sergeant, and Detective Sergeant lead by example, supported by four (4) Corporals who guide twelve (12) patrol officers across multiple platoons running 12-hour shifts. Behind the scenes, two (2) Detectives and two (2) full-time civilian staff keep operations running strong.
We provide around-the-clock service to the residents, businesses, and visitors of Pocono Township — a 35-square-mile community with 126 miles of roadway and more than 12,000 people who count on us every day.
But Pocono Township isn’t just home to our residents — it’s a destination. Each week, thousands of tourists visit our area to enjoy the resorts, attractions, and outdoor recreation that make the Poconos famous. With that constant flow of visitors comes a dynamic and ever-changing environment that keeps our officers sharp, engaged, and ready for anything.
It’s a place that blends small-town pride with big responsibility — from quiet neighborhoods to bustling commercial corridors, and from local families to travelers from across the country.
If you want to serve in a community that values professionalism, teamwork, and passion — this is the place to do it.
