PART-TIME POLICE OFFICER
The East Brookfield Police department is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Part-Time Police Officer. Candidate Minimum Qualifications: U.S. citizen, at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and a valid Massachusetts License to Carry (Class A) or the ability to possess one. Applicants must also have either graduated from the M.P.T.C. Reserve Academy, completed the reserve firearms course, or have completed the M.P.T.C. Bridge Academy, are enrolled in the Bridge Academy, or will be enrolled in the Bridge Academy in accordance with P.O.S.T. requirements and be current in CPR / First Responder.
Successful Candidates will be expected to work nights, weekends and holidays, pass a background check, including CORI, have an acceptable driving record and provide a recent physical examination.
Starting pay for part-time officers is $20.22 per hour, time and one half for holidays and court along with shift differential (3-11 $1 per hour / 11-7 $1.50 per hour).
