Simsbury - Entry Level Police Officer

The Simsbury Police Department is accepting on line applications for the position of Entry Level Police Officer. The salary range is $70,341.34 - $102,934.62 with a generous benefit plan, to include:

Minimum Qualifications:

• U.S. citizen
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license
• no criminal convictions for any felony or class A or B misdemeanors or domestic violence, and high school graduate or GED

• Testing will include a written exam, oral exam, extensive background investigation, psychological exam, polygraph exam, a medical exam and a controlled substance screen and a written examination.  Please read the Letter to Applicant document entirely before applying.  Applications will only be accepted on line at www.PoliceApp.com/Simsbury.
• To be considered for this position, applicants need to be at least 21 years of age by the time of appointment/time of hire.
• You must have a valid CHIP card passing score of 50% when scheduling an oral exam.
