  CITY OF TORRINGTON 

CT P.O.S.T. CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER

The City of Torrington is now accepting applications for CT Certified Police Officer for anticipated openings due to future retirements. 

SALARY:

$80,430 per year to start with excellent benefits. Paid college tuition and books, college degree incentive payment, paid holidays, paid vacation, paid sick time, opportunity for specialized assignments, generous comprehensive medical insurance plan, life insurance coverage, uniforms and equipment paid by the city. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a CT P.O.S.T. Certified Police Officer. Must be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., be a U.S. Citizen, and possess a valid Driver's License. Must have a valid CPCA score of 70% or higher.

TESTING REQUIREMENTS:

• CPCA Written Exam- 70% or Higher
